The muezzin was a standing... on the radiator grille
Next up was the new radiator grill and cover. The stock grill is black and the stock cover is red, same as the bike. I decided to invest in a chrome set which includes both the grill and the cover. The cover is held in place with 4 screws and washers. The screws, like many on the bike, require a hex head tool to remove. I have plenty of those on hand, so removal went quickly. The grill itself is held in place with nuts and bolts. The bolts are fixed in the radiator assembly, so just removing the nuts allows the grill to be removed. The new grill is installed by reversing the removal process and just securing it with the four nuts. The cover is ever so slightly more challenging. There are two reflectors on the old stock cover that have to be removed and re-installed on the new cover. This took about 3 minutes. The new chrome radiator cover is installed by reversing the removal process, but using the 4 new shiny screws instead of the old ones.
